For quality lighting design, insist on the best!

When you’re looking for ways to breathe some new life into your home, upgrading your lighting is a great choice. Most of us spend our whole day at work under bright fluorescent lights, and when we get home, it’s nice to have something different. Quality lighting design should provide you as much (or as little) light as you want at all times, and create a comfortable and inviting ambience for you and your family to relax and unwind. It’s also a great upgrade to make if you’re on a tight budget!

Since 1978, Gary Houston Electric has been one of the top residential electricians in Little Rock, and we’re always a phone call away when you need help with quality lighting design for your home. Every member of our team is committed to providing legendary customer service, and we guarantee our work! Contact us at any time for a consultation, and we’ll make some specific recommendations. No two homes are exactly alike, but we recommend considering the following upgrades:

Dimmer switches-Dimmer switches have been around for a long time, and they offer a lot of flexibility, particularly in common areas like the living room and dining room. We strongly recommend upgrading your home lighting to energy efficient LED bulbs, but be sure that you purchase dimmable bulbs if you’re using a dimmer switch.

Recessed and Track Lighting-Harsh overhead light is far from ideal, particularly if you’re trying to relax and watch television. On the other hand, using recessed lighting, track lighting, or wall sconces around the edges of the room can create soft, indirect lighting that’s warmer, and much more comfortable.

Outdoor lighting-When the weather outside is nice, you owe it to your family to enjoy your backyard patio or deck. We can help you create a great lighting design outside that will help you enjoy outdoor activities long after the sun sets. We also recommend installing security lighting with motion sensors in your front yard to encourage prospective criminals to move along.
